Meridian-Kessler Grant Committee Needs You!!!
As you have just read, the Meridian Kessler Neighborhood Association has
awarded grants to outstanding programs through their Grant Committee. Vi
Walker and Mary Owens are Co-Chairmen of the Committee. Vi and Mary and
the entire MKNA Board of Directors are asking YOU to help provide small
but necessary items the Grant Committee.s awards did not cover. Thank you
in advance for your participation and gifts.
The Children's Corner Preschool: $50 for unmet expenses; J.O.Y. Program: construction paper, beads and string, jump ropes, board games, crayons and markers, assorted balls, a portable basketball goal and snacks; Kaleidoscope Youth Center: materials and cash donations to support their programming for 7-14 year olds and a fence; Martin Luther King, Jr Multi Service Center: donations for $50 scholarships for pairs of grandparents and grandchildren to participate; IPS Merle Sidener: wren and bluebird house kits and gardening tools; IPS 91 Rousseau McClellan School: Calculators at 10.95 ea from Staples; Mid-North Shepherd's Center: computer products, including ink cartridges, paper and copying materials, network switch, HP PFC 1350 printer; Parkview Cooperative Preschool: additional donations to increase their extended day program; St. Joan of Arc Youth Outreach Summer Enrichment Camp: $.5.95 per student for study books and $5.00 per student for art materials.
