St. Joan of Arc Dedicates Parish
Community Center to Father Patrick Doyle
The St. Joan of Arc Parish Community Center was christened Doyle Hall at Father Patrick Doyle's last Mass as pastor
of Saint Joan of Arc. Father Doyle has been reassigned to Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ in southeastern Marion
County.
Father Doyle spearheaded a five-year campaign to provide a school/community center serving as a gymnasium, cafeteria,
school office, and parish gathering place. The campaign to revitalize the parish and school community was completed in
May 2002.
The building was dedicated to Father Doyle in recognition of his ten years of leadership in growth and development at
St. Joan of Arc. Father Doyle's dedication to the St. Joan of Arc community has been reflected in the steady increase
in parish membership. His legacy of sound financial planning and spiritual leadership will serve the parish and
neighborhood well for years to come.
Father Doyle also had a significant role in the planning for the church's restoration and renovation project. The
Archdiocese of Indianapolis announced to all parishes its plans to conduct a capital campaign beginning in 2005. Saint
Joan of Arc is one of the first parishes that will receive restorations.
