eBook Tinker Station, August 1 & 29 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Patrons are invited to learn how to select and use eReaders, as well as search and download materials from the Library’s extensive collection of eBooks, audiobooks and digital music. Patrons can drop in anytime during this two-hour visit by the Library’s traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The Station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline is also available to call for answers to your questions at 275-4500. This service is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

What Would Jane Austen Read Book Club, August 3 at 1:30 pm 
Adults who are interested in 18th and 19th century literature and the writers who influenced Jane Austen are invited for this monthly book discussion group.

Job Center at the Library, August 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm and August 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the Library presents a free service for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive one-on-one assistance to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills. The Job Center is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

Wee Readers at College Avenue, August 5, 12 & 19 at 10:30 am
Preschoolers ages 3 – 5 and an adult are invited for old-fashioned stories, songs and movement activities combined with technology such as eBooks, Pleo the dinosaur, and digital cameras.

Shake, Rattle and Roll: Baby Music Class, August 6 & 20 at 10:30 am 
Babies up to age 2 and an adult are invited for an interactive musical program with Bongo Boy Music Center. This program will include the use of musical instruments, action songs and movement, and will require the participation of the caregiver. This program is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. Call 275-4320 to register.

Minecrafternoons at College Avenue! August 8 from 1:30 to 4:00 pm
Minecrafters ages 10 to 15 are invited to play together on the Library’s Minecraft server. Call 275-4320 to register.

Mother Goose on the Loose, August 13 & 27 at 10:30 am
Toddlers and an adult are invited for an early literacy program using a variety of activities such as rhymes, songs, puppets and instruments to foster speech development, motor coordination, self-confidence and sensitivity to others.

Jungle Jams: Preschool Rhythm Class, August 26 at 10:30 am 
Preschoolers under the age of 6 and an adult are invited to get ready to move to the beat of their favorite jungle animals. Bongo Boy Music Center will bring animals to life by introducing basic rhythms and life skills, along with moving to the groove! This program is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. Call 275-4320 to register.
