What are you doing to honor motherhood this Mother’s Day?

Listen to Your Mother: Indianapolis is produced and directed by Judy M. Miller and Michelle McNally. The cast, which features some of the Indianapolis metro area’s most talented writers and bloggers, has been selected through an audition process and is “chomping at the bit” to share their stories about the beauty, the beast, and the barely-rested of motherhood.

Shows on Sunday May 3 at 1:00pm and 5:00pm
The Indiana Historical Society

Listen to Your Mother: Indianapolis looks forward to taking the audience on a well-crafted journey that celebrates and validates mothering through giving a voice to motherhood—in all of its complexity, diversity and humor. Due to mature content the performance is PG13.

Listen to Your Mother: Indianapolis is a one day live staged-reading event giving local writers the opportunity to share their stories of motherhood. Born of the creative work of parents who publish on-line, each production is directed, produced, and performed by local communities, for local communities.

10% of Indianapolis ticket proceeds will benefit Second Helpings, and Listen to Your Mother: Indianapolis will fund-raise on behalf of Second Helpings at the event.

Interpreters will provided through the IUPUI ASL/English Interpreter degree program. The senior interpreter students are earning valuable practicum hours through this experience with Listen to Your Mother: Indianapolis while making the presentation accessible to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community.
